Rather eventful happenings

Well, I turned 1 month old last week on the 19th Oct. They say time flies when u are havin fun..and I believe in it. It was rather fun with Nana, Nani here. After spending a joyful 1 month with us,they left on the 23rd and I was pretty sad. Felt lonely with no one to pick me up when I was bored. Dada also missed them since he had noone to play with him the whole day..More than us it was mamma who felt sad.. She missed Nani Nani the most. Papa tried to make her smile and to cheer her up we went to the swimming pool. It was the first time I saw a pool, It was big.. I hadnt seen so much water before.. Kids were swimming and dada was one of them. The next day we went for a Diwali party to one Nidhi Aunty's place. I wore the stylish short denim skirt and a red Benetton top to go with it and looked so chic.. We clicked a few picture with dada holding me.. Dada was so excited since he wanted to hold me for a long time but pappa mamma were a bit scared since I was too little..
At Nidhi Aunty's place there were 6 boys.. all of dada's age.. and I was the only girl present. Felt soo special with all the attention.. Everyone was soo excited to see me.. Dada's friend Aayush wanted to hold me and we clicked a picture with him too.
Then they all lit some glowing thing....later I was told by mamma that it was a 'phuljhadi'.. since it was a few days before Diwali.. Oh!! it looked soo beautiful and dada enjoyed lighting it.
Today we will do puja and will light the phuljhadi once again since it is Diwali today. My first ever Diwali. Yehh..!! Then Meenu Aunty will come and pick us up to spend the evening with her at her new home.
But I will miss papa a lot today. He is away for 10 days to China on work. Hope he remembers to bring me and dada a present.. He is terribly missing us too.
Autumn colours are finally getting over and winter is bringing with it cold winds. I feel really cosy dressed up all warm in the winter overalls ..and then clinging onto the sling on mamma like a little monkey . Oh!! that reminds me now I must get dressed up in my overall to pick up Dada from School.
More later...Have a happy Diwali

I am now 3 weeks old..

Last week was rather eventful,.. MY DEAR NANA arrived from India to be with us. I was so happy. He bought with him so many gifts for me. So many wonderful clothes, so many pretty sweaters and of course some accessories in gold which I will wear when I get a bit older.
We play together everday as I loved his soft playful voice. He had named me 'Chinni' even before I was born. :-) So as mamma calls me Chinkey, Chinku, Chinki.. Chinni is another name added to the list.. Then we celebrated Ashtami. Nani made Halwa Pudi and Chane and we did puja together.
Then we celebrated Dushera, I put tilak on dada's forehead as per customs that baba dadi beleive in.

When I turned 20 days old Nani insisted on taking me to the Iskcon temple here in Stockholm. So yesterday we went thereand attented the aarti in the evening. The gods looked beautiful indeed and I loved looking at the lights up in the roof..

Mamma, Papa's friends insist on seeing me and mamma is finding a suitable time to invite them. Everyone is so eager to see me and hearing this I feel really important.
Dada pats me on my head and sometimes touches my cheeks because he thinks they are soo soft. ' Toft' he calls them in his langauge. I have begun to recognise Nani's voice as well as she coos and talks to me everyday when she does my massage and bathes me.. She is a pro I must say in massaging newborns. Dada too was massaged and bathed by her when he was born. Mamma is still just a helper by Nani learning everyday and preparing herself to do so once Nani and Nana leave back for India. Every evening I love being in Nani's 'badi godi'..

Papa plays with me every morning before leaving for work, and the first thing as soon as he comes back from work.He is a little dissappointed though as I am soo sleepy sometimes.

Alrite now I am going to get ready as and a little while we will go the Hindu temple here to witness the 'Rawan Dahen'. With that another exiting weekend will come to an end as a new week begins tomorrow

My first step outdoors

Yesterday was my first outing. Well, I call it an 'outing' even though it was a walk to my BVC for my first checkup . We walked all the way to the place. I enjoyed being in the pram , was looking at all the green little things up there, with the blue background. Wondered what it was. but it all looked so beautiful to my eyes. After we had my checkup mamma took me to the mall for a small walk. Initially I liked it, it felt different. There were soo many people around. Some looked at me and smiled. One guy standing on the counter of a shop to buy something asked mamma how old I was and then said I looked soo cute :-) I simply exchanged a small glance with him and gave him half a smile while he looked on.

Then while mamma enjoyed her first outing ever since she gave birth to me.. I had had enough. I wanted to go and lay in my crib and have a feed. I let it be known with my squirms and restlessness. While we were finally walking home, I really lost all my little patience that I have and let it be known with my screams. Mamma along with Dada and Nani who were acompanying us started to walk even faster, Then Dada had a tummy ache, and a foot ache, while my screams started getting louder and louder.... I pitied poor mamma ....she was begining to panic. Nani kept her cool and pushed my pram while mamma clutched on me tightly close to her heart. Dada was getting cranky as well, and we all heaved a sigh of relief when we finally reached home in the next 5 minutes.
Finally I was in my crib, dada had papa to talk too about his aches and Nani had dinner ready for all of us.
All in all my first outing went well, I had a small nap in my pram , loved the rocking feeling while the pram moved, saw some great colours all around me while poor mamma learnt a lesson ' avoid going anywhere all by herself with dada and me, unless absolutely necesarry' :-):-) . Papa promised to accompany us as much as he could until I grew a little older :-):-)
